Monograms can be simple and elegant or more elaborate, depending on individual preferences. Essentially, it's a stylish way of saying, "This belongs to me!"
For the girlies:
First Name, LAST NAME, Middle Name.
The reason why the last name traditionally goes in the middle is because the last name is most important and should stand out!
Example: Meet Bella Sue Marvin, whose monogram would look like:
For the wifeys:
First Name, LAST NAME, Maiden name (or middle name if you prefer). Generally when a woman is married, the middle name leaves her monogram and is replaced by her maiden name.
Example: Our bestie Bella Sue Martin finds the love of her life, Bob Garby, and they get married! Her new monogram would be:
For the couples:
Bride's First Name, LAST NAME, groom's first name.
Since Bella and Bob Garby are now happily married, their shared monogram would be:
